Meet Riva

About your Captain

Hi, I'm Riva—a lifelong Lake Orion resident, storyteller, and your captain aboard Tour on Orion. Fittingly enough, I was actually named after a boat, so I guess life was always steering me toward the water.

Now in my 18th season, I've spent years uncovering Lake Orion's forgotten stories through old photographs, newspapers, postcards, and conversations with longtime residents.

But this tour has become about more than history. In a world where we're constantly connected to technology, I believe it's important to reconnect—with each other and with the places that shaped us. My hope is that every guest leaves with a deeper appreciation for Lake Orion, its past, and the stories that continue to bring people together.
